One of China's premier tissue producers, operating an advanced 5.6m-wide tissue machine designed for speeds up to 2,000 m/min, producing premium lightweight tissue (12.5–16 g/m²). This is one of the widest tissue machines in Asia.
During sustained high-speed operation above 1,800 m/min, the existing forming fabric exhibited progressive wire marking and accelerated surface wear. The extremely short forming window (approximately 300 ms) meant that any dewatering non-uniformity would immediately manifest in the sheet. A forming fabric capable of withstanding extreme dynamic loads without sacrificing sheet quality was urgently needed.
PAPTEX deployed a custom 3CSSB triple-layer SSB forming fabric (sheet side FSI 159, top layer 10-shaft satin weave). The dewatering curve was re-engineered with stepped foil blade angles (0.5°→1.0°→1.5°→2.0°) to distribute dewatering forces progressively across the forming zone. Finer weft yarns on the sheet side eliminated wire marking while maintaining drainage capacity.

Wire marking eliminated at all speeds up to 2,000 m/min. Fabric service life extended from 55 to 78 days (+42%). Sheet formation index improved by 8 points. Machine uptime increased 3.2%. The mill has now standardized on PAPTEX SSB forming fabrics across all its tissue machines.
