- Suction Press: 1,300-1,600 g/m²
- Grooved Press: 1,400-1,700 g/m²
- Blind-Drilled Press: 1,400-1,800 g/m²
- Shoe Press: 1,500-1,800 g/m²
- Tissue / Yankee: 1,100-1,400 g/m²
Trade-offs: Heavier felts provide more void volume (water handling) and longer life, but cost more and require higher operating tension.
