Custom-engineered fabrics for specialty paper grades including release liners, abrasive backing, filter paper, decorative laminates, and security papers. PAPTEX delivers precision fabric solutions for demanding applications.
Paper grade, machine speed, width, and drainage configuration all affect clothing selection. The challenge is balancing runnability, sheet quality, and service life.
We provide a complete fabric portfolio optimized for specific paper grades — from forming and press fabrics to dryer fabrics and dewatering belts. Each is tailored to the specific drainage, retention, and surface quality requirements of the target paper grade.

PAPTEX Single Layer Forming Fabric is the economical workhorse for lower-speed machines and straightforward drainage requirements. Its simple 1.5-layer weave structure maximizes open area — delivering 550–850 CFM air permeability, the highest of any forming fabric type — for aggressive water removal at speeds of 300–800 m/min. Ideal for tissue and specialty paper grades where drainage rate is the primary concern, this lightweight fabric (≥45 kN/m MD tensile strength) is easy to handle during fabric changes and provides reliable performance at an attractive price point. While not offering the formation finesse of multi-layer designs, Single Layer fabric remains a practical choice for mills with older machines, budget constraints, or applications where sheer drainage capacity is the dominant requirement.

PAPTEX Anti-static Dryer Fabric solves a persistent operational challenge in high-speed paper machines: static electricity buildup. Our proprietary carbon-filled conductive yarns are strategically integrated into the fabric structure, creating a controlled dissipation path that safely channels static charges away from the sheet — protecting both product quality and operator safety. With surface resistivity ≤10⁶ Ω/sq and 300–650 CFM air permeability, this fabric maintains standard dryer fabric performance characteristics while eliminating static-related issues: sheet sticking, dust attraction, operator shocks, and fire risk in solvent-based coating applications. Continuous heat resistance up to 160°C. Essential for high-speed printing/writing paper machines, tissue machines with creping operations, and any mill experiencing static-related downtime or quality issues in the dryer section.
